Has anyone had a pair of both, since they started making them in China instead, are they any different/worse?

Are there actually still places you can buy ones made in England? If so, where?

The quality has definitely not as good as they were when they were made in England. I have a pair that I've had for years and they are still good. I bought my brother a pair and they were made in China. He wore those things out in six months. Even thought they aren't as good, I still love them. Zappos.com is a great place to buy them also.

England's are way better and worth the extra price. When most any shoes are clothes begin to mass market in Asia the quality decreases for quantity.

Try NANA brand boots from England. They are made wonderfully!!

the old ones were better, the stiching held up better and the soles were not so thick and goofy looking. I don't buy them anymore.
