I have to analyze the position of the author. Since everything I find is encyclopedia type facts, I am having a hard time doing this.

Industrialization born out of necessities. Population has grown and demand for commodities as well. Families working together makes more time in working in other fields and thus having an ample time at each other. Opportunities grew also fused by competition. Education and knowledge has become imperative in the industry. People then became self sufficient. The society is still there the same, what changed is the culture.

Before the Industrial Revolution, entire families worked together at home to make clothing, furniture and tools, among other products. Farming was a family business and life revolved around the agricultural seasons for planting, cultivating, harvesting where families worked the farm from adults to children. Once the introduction of power driven machinery and the development of the factory came about, it replaced people working at home in rural areas. The machinery replaced handwork. Thus, people were forced into cities where there was over crowding and unsanitary housing, terrible working conditions that led to outbreaks of disease, and all of this was brought by the industrialization era.
