I would pull the plug, install it in the plug wire and turn the engine over, looking for spark at the plug. (ground electrode ). Then i would do the same thing making sure the plug wire(with out the plug) was getting fire. Next i would test the cap with a test light to see if there is fire there. If you have fire, and it does not start, i would think the firing order is incorrect. Does it pop? or spit back through the carb?
If you have fire and it does not run, check for fuel. (is choke stuck?) Remmember you must have compression, fuel, and fire. Suck, squeeze, pop, fuyie!!!!
Have a fun day.

First of all, WOW. If you are doing anything in the engine and you are going to pull something, especially like that, TURN THE ENGINE OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!,
Next, take it to the mechanic and get it fixed. You probably did some damage to the little computer inside the engine, and only a mechanic can fix it now.
