a few days ago 2 window repairmen came and fixed my bedroom window. i left my key for them under my mat. when i came home my camera was missing and i'm 100% of where i put it and i know i didnt take it anywhere w/me bcuz the batteries for it were charging. i called the window company and the person i spoke to asked the men who came to my place, of course they're gonna say no. i called my property management company and they said the window company is bonded and doesn't think they would do such a thing. so now i need to know wat to do next. can you help?

File a police report. It's unlikely to be resolved, as you have no proof that it was even stolen and not misplaced. I completely believe you, but there is certainly the shadow of a doubt.

File a police report. Send a copy to the window company with a statement from a shop confirming the cost to replace the camera demanding compensation within 10 business days or your will pursue alternative action for recovery.

If they refuse to pay, file a claim in small claims court. Call your local Better Business Bureau and file a report. They'll have to go to their bonding agency and pay you.

This is why they are bonded.

Wow. Make sure you never leave the spare key in that spot again. It's never a good idea to allow people you dont know in your home unattended-- but then, you know that now.

Send them a certified letter requesting the return of the camera and threaten legal action if they do not pay. Tell them the value of the camera. Perhaps they will simply refund what it cost to get the window installed-- as I bet thats close to what the camera cost.

Well that is exactly why they are bonded - its like insurance against things like this that can happen. If you file a police report, I believe that you may be able to file a claim against their insurance. And hopefully those losers get fired.

Heck sure they could!! You rented the article, that makes you to blame for its protection and situation. If stolen out of your abode verify such as your own home owners coverage organization. they could be able to assist. save in ideas that is necessary to nudge them to get everywhere. coverage organizations are notorious for taking not giving. final analysis is that more effective than in all chance that is going to come out of your pocket first and repayment later.

Call the cops! Of course they will deny it. I would change my locks immediately....they had your key...if they stole once...well ya know. Be safe and never ever let them in without someone there to watch them!

Looks like your only option may be to call the police but proving it may be difficult so unfortunately you may have to take the loss.
