My husband sweats so bad at night that I can't even go near him. We asked our doctor about it and he said there is nothing wrong with him. Sweating is very healthy and it helps remove toxins from the body.
In order to do what you can for it, make sure you have cotton sheets and blankets, wear cotton pjs, and keep that fan going!

If you are over weight yes it might be normal, if not it might mean that you are low on sodium, probably I aint a doctor, Try drinking something with lots of sodium at night, to retain water, such as gatorade or something like that that helps keep water inside the body. if that is no help, call a doctor and ask for advice. It might be bad for you to sweat since you are loosing water that your body needs, that might lower your defences and get you tired through the day.

If you leave one foot out from under the covers it seems to help me to keep from sweating. But yes, It is normal for me and my wife but it does not happen all the time. Might make a difference if you have been in extreme temp conditions during your awake times. I believe its just the body kind of resetting its temp control.

I doubt it. You can get hot in the middle of the night because once you fall alseep your body temperature lowers and you don't need to be as warm as you would when you are awake, so even though you might be at an okay temperature when you fall asleep, once your body is in a deep sleep mode, those blankets might be too much, and your body might be too warm.

You probably are suffering from night sweats. I suffer from them also. It could be caused by many different things. Try keeping your house excessively cool while sleeping. You may want to consult your physician. Your endocrine system could be malfunctioning or possibly hormonal. Good luck.

This is usually due to a hormonal inbalance. My son has a problem with his hypothalmus too - that could be an issue.
