Guess what honey, I was once your friend. I mean that I treated my friends exactly like you just mentioned but after awhile they all started getting distant from me and my whole world crumbled. What makes your friend so strong is your weakness, she builds herself up by down talking others. You are the glue to her puzzle and if you distance yourself from her, then who will she complain or nag at or talk about people to. If you start the breakdown process, the rest of the people will follow. Right now you are as well as any other people who allow her to act this way her army, if you leave her alone for awhile and let her know exactly why you are not hanging with her anymore, then hopefully she will respect your friendship enough and start making some changes. Trust me, people like her and myself are only strong because of people like you (our followers) What is a leader without any troops.NOTHING! Think about it!

Just tell her how you feel. If she gets an attitude, then you are probably better off with out her as a friend, because she might the same thing to you behind your back. Differences is what makes your friends fun to hang out with. You don't want your friends to have your exact tastes and opinions.

Get off the guilt wagon . You are your own person . Your friend wants to have control over every one and every thing . You don't have to put up with her controlling mode . Tell her you have your own opinion and so do others . No one died and mad her queen of the world . Not only that . But tell her when she is bad mouthing someone . I wonder what they say about you ? Controlling people don't want to hear things like that . They can't control what other people say . And neather can you .

doesnt sound like a friend. Friends are supposed to make us feel good- thats why they are friends. You should say whats on your mind. It sounds like a one way friendship. If shes talking about other friends then shes probably talking about you to the other friends. I had a friend who was the same way. I distanced myself from her and then finally just stopped calling her. I wrote her an email telling her how I felt and that just ended the friendship.

Tell her how you feel, she might not even notice that this is affecting you. Sounds like she might not be as into you as you are her. I had a friend like that, once... I told her, we tried to work it out, didn't happen, we parted.

Also I don't know if this will help, but.. have friends for different reasons, different things. *kind of like shoes, but not* best of luck
Might be hard but your going to feel so much better after its been said

because she is not a good friend i can tell you that from experience because i was like that once and i lost my best friend. also the thing is that she doesn't have feelings and maybe whats to make you feel bad and that way she feels good about herself.
well what you need to do is sit down and talk to her and ask her why are like this? and tell her she hurts you and that you dont like it when she is like this.

She sounds very negative. If you want it to stop, you need to stand up for yourself because thus far, Im guessing youve been eating this crap for yrs. Tell her you dont wanna hear it when she talks about others negatively or if you say something and she responds with her "Whats wrong with you?", you can respond with "Nothing...whats wrong with you?" You need a spine, sweetheart. Shes not gonna stop if you keep taking it.

This is a very negative person and people like that are never happy unless someone else is sharing their misery. You do not need a "friend" like that. You will end up being a negative person yourself and no one will like you. Imagine how she talks about you to other people! Dump her!!

Can you explain to us why it is you are friends with this woman? She has to have everything her way, she doesn't care about her friends feelings, and she talks behind her friends backs. With friends like this, who needs enemies?!

shes so insecure about herself that she needs you to agree with her thoughts, actions, likes, and dislikes at every turn. if you dont, she feels like the horrible person that she is.
