if you have an on going relationship with your X, like custody sharing of children then he'll need to know, and you should tell him straight up, if not let him read the wedding announcement in the paper . . .

It may not be something you need to tell your ex. But if you do, I am going to say do it easily and try not to make it like your bragging about getting remarried. Make the blow a little easier. But they may take it any way and u have to be ready for that, but you're marrying someone else and building a life together with this person so what your ex thinks about it really shouldn't matter.

Do you have kids together? Are you receiving alimony or child support?
If you aren't getting any money and have no kids together, you don't need to tell him. If you are getting child support or alimony, I would think he'd be somewhat relieved that his income will soon be increasing (depending on terms of the divorce, of course) provided he is a healthy person.
If you need to tell him for any practical reasons, just call him and tell him. I am assuming he isn't weird, of course.

Just tell him. He is an ex for a reason. Why should you hide the fact that you have moved on and found happiness elsewhere?

Well if you and him are friends now he should understand that you have gone on with you life and he will understand if that is the case he maybe a little hurt. But that is a chance you would have to take. But if you aren't friends I wouldn't worry about telling him its none of his business.

Are you asking for his permission? You said 'yes' to this other person, you have no one else to answer to. If the ex asks tell him and move on.

Guess it would depend on your current relationship. I don't think it is really any of his business. Do you tell former boyfriend your going to date another guy. Nope,
No need to unless you want to.

Why even tell him? he's your ex,none of his beeswax.
If you must, then just send a simple invitation.
