The generalised and demeaning tone of your question barely rwarrants a response however I will respond for my ow satisfaction.

Some women deny what they truly want simply because they are trying to be a 'good' woman and do what society expects of them.

Some women deny what they want because they feel that by denying it they are being more righteous, morally correct, or ethical.

Some women deny themselves nothing and wonder what on earth struck them when someone else denies something to them...

But then the same can be said for men...

And there are of course a great many people, men, women and children who choose to deny something to themselves now so that they can have something better later on...

You question is loaded with suppositions and presumptions....
So Id think you are either trying to be discriminating against women or you are trying to understand a particular woman who in your opinion seems to deny herself something, or you are just trying to sound clever. If you want to know something in particular about particular woman the only person who can help you is her...

Some women probably don't think it's right to feel what they feel. They feel pressure from societal forces telling them that they must sacrifice and work hard...when they actually do something for themselves, they are called selfish and overindulgent, in some cases. It's this pressure that keeps them from doing what makes them happy.

It is a social stigma that women are still trying to please others inorder to please themselves. The reality of this is a psychological depression that inadvertantly spirals. Women often feel that they need to be able to do everything not only competently but rather expertly thus placing a unfounded amount of pressure on themselves. The end result being the denial of desires and wants inorder to please others. Simply put women are by nature pleasers and as such will put others before themselves.

i think most women are afraid of being let down. I know in my experience i would prolly not allow myself to think about my true feelings in fear that i would not get it or make myself miserable.

Alot of times we do what we feel is expected of us, rather than how we feel. We do this because we have an inate desire to please others, not because we are self-sabotaging or don't feel we deserve to be happy. We just want to please. I think it comes from instinct for us to try to take care of those around us.
