if u played ANIMAL CROSSING: wild world, where do you buy the shovel?

i cant seem to find out how to obtain a regular shovel, its not being sold at tom nook's store so where am i supposed to buy it from?

Don't worry, Tom Nook may not have it in his store today, but he probably will the next day. You just have to wait until it comes in stock. :)

It should be around 500 bells, if I can remember.
