I went with her friend to homecoming but her friend ended up being pretty stupid so we arent together anymore. I chat online with this person a lot and we walk together in the halls almost everyday. I have really become to like this girl. I want to wait until Turnabaut to see if she will ask me to that and if she doesnt, should I ask her? Social class is very important in high school so i will tell you a little bout myself and her. Im a sophmore, honors student, and have been a varsity swimmer since freshman year. My social skills are somewhat lacking in that im really shy and not talkative but many people say that once they get to know me, im the coolest person they know. Now she is a junior, average class student, and a varsity cheerleader. She is very outgoing and likes to have simple fun. Also, many people in my school think that she and her group of friends are stupid. She is also kinda short and she is asian. So, do I stand a chance?

As hard as it sometimes may be to go up the girl that you really like and ask a question that will make you skin turn HOT feeling you should never back down. Face your fear and ask her. Then anything after that would most likely fall into place. I will let you know my marine is just like you grad with honors from high school and collage and asked me a girl you would think would say no and Well look I said yes . So ask her it will fill the void. GO FOR IT!

Social Status s one of the many barriers that need to be broken down in society. You should date who so ever that you want to date. If you like this girl be bold and ask her out for a date before the Turnabaut dance.
In life you should not allow anything to limit you.

during a few of these talks you should flirt with her a little bit to test the waters. If she doesn't take any steps back you should hope for a kiss, not a date. this is between you and her not you two and the world. that was my high school lesson

I'd say it depends on how much you care what other people think. If others really don't like her that much will you be comfortable asking her out? Or will it make things too awkward for you? If you don't care, go for it. I'm sure she'd be flattered! You sound like quite a catch. ;)

If you like her... does it really matter what others think? It does... but honestly listen to yourself not to others. Who cares that she is Asian... that really doesn't matter at all. COME ON!! Get the nerve be a man and ask her. If she says no.. oh well. move on!

i would try letting her know you like her before the dance .then that way if she ask you to it you know she feels the same way ,but if you told her you like her before and she doesn't ask you to the dance then you know she only likes you as a friend.......................good luck
