I love you for asking this, haha.
I actually missed the film when it was out and was very disappointed, but then I saw the book in Asda and HAD to get it.
It was such a great book, very detailed and addictive. I'm glad I didn't watch the film first. ^_^
I managed to get it on DVD and it was good, though the book is much better.
AND Memoirs of a Geisha has helped me to read a lot more books - mainly ones set in China or Japan, so I'm happy I came across it.

Absolutely loved it. The movie was a real let down after reading this book.

I do! It was slightly different than the movie though. In the book she was more spunky, while in the movie she was shy. I got kind of grossed out that she was after that waaay older guy...yuck.
