Cos they are self absorbed animals and have no moral conscience so nod off even if you are in the middle of talking to them.

Well lets face it they have people like me to deal with their every whim. Their major worry would be when will I next get fed and if they are full they will retire to bed. Conscienceless

It's not the sleeping that worried me but the waking, when they would come into my garden and crap......not anymore though!

How do you know they are asleep? Maybe they just keep their eyes closed and listen to what you are saying incase you are talking about them?
