Yeah, a lot of people have been commenting on this lately, and frankly it is because they have joined a union, ever since its stop start stop start. Before they joined optical mice like most standard mice were pretty hard working with the occassional day off sick, or maybe a bad performance day, however of late, it seems anything can make them stop working, and it neednt be just pay and conditions, it can be a simple as a cat in the near vicinity or the smell of cheese from your blankets

try and isolate it from other mice and indoctrinate a new way of thinking into its general lifestyle. Alternatively a small increase in its hourly rate should ease the tension for a while and you may wish to offer more cheese breaks they like that ( its almost as good a dental care)

A wireless mouse isn't recommended. If you really like to use a wireless mouse then you must buy a better one. If you take such intense actions like FPS games require then you only have to buy a simple optical mouse.

Start>Control Panel>Device Manager (System), expand Mice & other pointing devices, right click on the "something" Mouse, click uninstall, reboot, wait, now try it. Device Manager, Universal Serial Bus Controllers, right click on all of the USB Root Hub and unistall, reboot, wait, ok, try it. If not work, get a new mouse.
