I think lack of communication can be the biggest hurtle in a relationship. Getting in the habit of expressing your emotions can be hard, especially when people are closed down. Once the grounds for communication are open and ready I think the relationship is more likely to succeed.

I believe that communication is one of the major keys to a succesful relationship.

Communication.
The hard part is when hubby comes home from work all annoyed with the day he's had and takes it out on me.
I have to remind him that he wouldn't talk to his co-workers the way he talks to me, and he's supposed to love me...

trying to teach him another side of life and he does not comprehend it.. he takes it and runs with his own view points. instead of not actually listening and hearing which leads to arguement and misunderstandings
