he gets so into it which makes him even better. it not just a job for him but it's something he loves to do. he has inspired me to learn how to play the guitar.

These two guitarists have some differences. I will blend these differences in my head and come up with my recommendations. My choices, but not limited to: Jimmie Vaughan, Duke Robillard, Jimmy Thackery, Henry Garza Even Jimmie Vaughan has no pure evidence to the claiming statement from Hendrix. John Mayer, No not greatest ever, but if he inspired you, go for it! Learn his stuff, although it's a bit more advanced for a beginner, look for simplified tabs and such

i could argue that he is the BEST GUITAR PLAYER of his generation.
give him some time - he might not be the best guitar player ever right now but he certainly could be someday.

he may be an okay musician, but he is NO WAY near being the best, sorry.
hendrix, dimebag, clapton....those guys are great guitar players!
