The baby is pretty well cushioned for quite awhile, and right now is pretty much right behind your belly button and shielded by your pelvis. It's later on when it is much bigger that there is more risk.
I would definately, definately keep seeing your doctor regularly, and stress to him/her how heavy the abdominal blows were. Make sure that they listen for fetal heartbeat using doppler and keep doing regular ultrasounds though, even if you have to pay for them out of pocket riather than by insurance.
Good luck!

You did not mention what the fetuses heart rate is, your baby has nothing to dowith your stomache, the stomache is part of your digestive system and not the reproduction system at all. Now that part is over: at 14 weeks your baby is between the hip bones. Iliac fossas in medical terms and just comming 'out' from the symphysis pubis. ie the bone that lies below the pubic hair you can feel this bone if you run your fingers from your belly button down to between your legs your fingers will feel a bone across from one side to the other - this is the symphysis pubis. You baby is so well protected I have no reason to not believe the doctors. Just for interest sake, if a woman is HIV positive and pregnant, she is 'all right ' ie looks healthy before the birth of the baby, BUT let that baby be borne and her condition goes into full blown AIDES = we call this in South Africa Survival of the unborne.

Im very sorry to hear what happened it must be very frightening.
At 14 weeks your baby should be in the lower part of the abdomen it will still be very small, theres no way that it would be in the upper abdomen.
If there was still a heartbeat then everything should be fine, although they should really give you a scan to make sure that the placenta is still intact

First, your baby is lower in your stomach at this age, but if they hear a heartbeat everything is OK! You baby wont have any damage if that is what our thinking from getting knocked around. You juss have to be more careful on what your doing, and whoever or whatever gave you those blows you should seriously consider staying far away from him/her or that! Good luck with your pregnancy!

The question here is, "are you alright?" The doctor has examined the baby and it sounds like the baby is fine.
What ever caused thisproblem should be reported if by a person. It there was an accident that may have caused it then you need to be extra careful! At what ever cause, protect yourself and your unborn child!

If your doctor still hears the baby's heart beat, rest assured that he/she is fine. Many times your body takes more that you feel you can take, but the baby is protected. Your body does everything it can to protect your baby.
I just hope that if this was the baby's father who did this to you, that you get completely away from him. Your life and your baby's life is more important than any man. If this was some kind of "random assault", I pray that this person is caught so they can't harm another person.

You're only 14 weeks, your baby could be anywhere. I would trust what your doctor says, because you surely aren't going to get as reliable an answer here. Good luck!

Yeah thats possible...if your having a boy, its usually high, and girl is usually low...but that isnt always true..i cant really tell you if your baby is okay...if your dr. sid theres still a heart beat, then yeah, he/shes alive, but there could be some long term damages.. Good Luck, and i hope everything goes okay!

at 14 weeks the uterus is mostly protected by the pelvic bone and it is very hard to harm the baby since they are still very tiny. As long as there is a heartbeat and no damage to your body you baby should be fine
