My oven has black painted tin/metal on the upper portion where the clock and timer are. It has been scratched while cleaning it by a sponge that has the scotchbrite scrubber on one side. It is very noticeable since it is black. Does anyone know how to repair this?

There is special appliance paint just for such accidents. You can get it at Wal-Mart.

you need special paint to paint the inside of an oven. Most paints are flamable.
So I would contact the band/ manufacter and find out what type of paint. If is new they might even send you a small packet.
