His birthday falls on the 23rd July but when I read his horoscope some say he's a Leo and others a Cancer? Can he be both? If so can any one tell me anything about this mixed or one or the other star sign?

He is most likely a Leo, but since he is on the cusp you might need to pull his birth chart to find out which sign his sun is actually in. (free > astro.com)
My daughter was born on July 22, I pulled her chart and found out that year the sun moved into Leo about 4 hours before she was born, so shes a Leo and not a Cancer.

It says he's a Leo... But He's also a Cancer. He was born on a cusp... He's more intense and he has the characteristics of a Cancer and a Leo... & aren't you the lucky one!

he is a kusp... tht means a guy born on the day where one sun sign ends and other starts... even i am one... it's jst tht u get qualities of both in u.. so yeah u have to read 2 horoscopes ... ;o)
