My car was egged a few years ago and I asked the body shop manager where I worked at. He said that the egg itself doesnt hurt the paint, it is the egg shells, they can scratch it up pretty bad. He said you obviously just want to use some hot water and get the eggs off as quickly as possible. Just be careful getting egg shells off.

Beware of bird poop however, that will do damage to the paint on your car.

Wash your car asap. Dont just spray it off. Spend the $5 and take it to a do it your self car wash place or an automatic one. The soap will help clean the car and the spot where the egg hit, a nice wax should help remove any blemishes

egg yolks have something in them, especially as they go bad, that will remove paint. Twice through the car wash or a trip to the local wand wash should take care of everything you can do. Don't bother scraping at it or using pads, even nonabrasive pads will mark up your paint. If the eggs were rotten and the paint under them is stripped you will need to get it fixed and there is nothing that you can do in cleaning to prevent it. Sorry.

If you wash the egg off right away, nothing will happen to the paint job, but if you let it sit on the car, the paint will start to come off in areas. My son's car was egged and he was unaware of it, it took the paint off on the door.

The egg yolk and white are very corrosive - if left overnight the damage is probably done.
Also, the shell itself can cause scratches and chips. If you wash it improperly it can make it worse.
Rinse all the egg shell off with the pressure of water from a hose first before washing the car with carwash and a sponge.

The egg won't have eaten contained in the direction of the paint. Take the motor vehicle and have it professionally wiped sparkling on the dealership, and ask in specific with regard to the white spots. Um - you probably did checklist the incident to the police, did no longer you?

The quicker you wash it off , the less chance there is of damage to the finish...either way the car will not be ruined..it will still drive fine.
