Hello Girl,
you've already done something special for your man, you conceived, carried and are about to deliver his beautiful baby. I can understand your feelings though because I too am pregnant, and even though the doctors say that there is no know effects of just one drink to an unborn child, why take that chance. you have done such a great job so far and with just 4 weeks left, why spoil it now. After you have that baby you will feel so proud of your self to say "I DID IT". Just remember the most important thing is no matter what anyone else says you feel comfortable with whatever decision YOU make.

First of all, my opinion is that you only have one more month to go..so why not wait untill after the baby is born just to be ont he for sure safe side. Otherwise.....
The thing that you have to worry about is Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. But in your case it would be safe. .. wine cooler does not have that much alcohol in it and especially when you only drink 5 oz. A study of moderate drinking during pregnancy found no negative effects. The researchers suggested that one drink per day provides a significant margin of safety, although they did not encourage drinking during pregnancy. they found that only alcolics had infants with FAS. It probably wouldn't actually harm the baby at this point, but why risk it? You really don't have too much longer left.
I know how you feel. While I was pregnant I wanted a beer so badly. I just dipped my toung in my husband's just to get the taste and that was enough to curb me over until after I had my baby. The thing is, I don't drink much at all, I just really wanted a beer when I knew I couldn't have one though.

It probably is but I wouldn't risk it. You only have 1 month left, you can wait.
Look at it like this, when the baby is born in a month would you give her 5oz of a wine cooler in a bottle?

i am 26 weeks preg and i went to a get together a few weeks ago.i got some non alcoholic beer to drink while i was there.it tastes just the same so if i was you i would go the non alcohlic route.i just wouldnt want to risk it.the guilt you would carry if something went wrong wouldnt be worth it.even though the chances of something happening from one drink are really slim.besides you only have a few weeks left and then you can drink safely.

I drank with my last pregnancy. I asked my doctor because I rarely drink but I was really craving alcohol and she told me that the children born with FAS were born to mothers who were primarily alcoholics and couldn't control but indeed having drank one glass of wine a week wouldn't hurt the baby. I ended up doing that because of blood pressure issues as well and my daughter is completely fine very smart, very advanced for her age, and showing no signs of any sort of damage. It really is a decision you need to make for yourself.

No, not really but if you were to have a few sips of a weak wine cooler 1 or 2x chances are it will do nothing to harm your baby.

why don't you just wait the month have the baby and in your own free time have a cooler. There is no safe amount of alcohol towards pregnate women.

Even though your baby is developed, it's not advised to drink alcohol during ANY part of your pregnancy. Think about doing something special for you baby, and wait until you have him/her. Have some sparkling grape juice instead and give your boyfriend champagne, or the sparkling grape juice. You need to think about your baby first.
