I'm glad that you asked this question to get us awared millie! Alot of people can't tolerate difference. Its human nature to do what we know how to do. But this isn't always the case. There are some that dive into difference to find out EVERYTHING about a culture. By just asking this question you are raising awareness.

We haven't sunk, it has been going on since the beginning of time.
It originates as a defense mechanism in the primitive part of the brain when we see people who are different from us. When we were Early Man we lived in tribes - people like ourselves that looked like ourselves. Anyone different was a threat and for good reason - because at that time they were a threat to our food, women, supplies, etc.
So now we have this left-over mechanism that some people allow to control them even though our brains are totally capable of thinking at a higher level and dispelling any of these mechanism consciously.
Also, Jesus said that people condemn what they do not understand. And it is irrelevant whether you believe in Jesus or not, he is still a highly respected man in many religions/cultures.
Its terrible but that is how people are.
Just be glad you are one of the "higher thinkers" :)

I would say that racism exists mainly in the western countires, particularly UK and USA and to some extent in a number of European countries. The indegenous population seem to feel threatened by the misconceived idea that the 'foreigners' take their jobs, their housing etc. and place heavy demands on the state. This is of course, totally unfounded and on the contrary tend to ignore the positive aspects of mixed communities. It derives from lackof education, ignorance, arrogance (white superiority) historical past, and perhaps isolated bad experiences. Furthermore, governments behave irresponsibly from time to time by coming out with insensitive comments which targets certain communities or racial/religious groups. This only adds fuel and ammunition to the wicked and extremist people who live within our midst. I just wish people could learn to live in harmony and share and enjoy each others cultures more.

People are racist for one universal and very simple reason:
They are ignorant. It's as clear as that. No arguement or defense will work against a clear and honest truth. I defy anyone to prove me wrong.

cracker, *****, spook, spick, *******, all are racist terms.
People are racist because they can be. Stupid libs are hammering down this salad bowl diversity bs rather than working on the melting pot. Kill off the bs culture of diversity and you will go a long way in curtailing racism.

Sadly, everybody seems to be racist. The blacks vs the whites, the whites vs the mexicans, the mexicans vs the whites and anyone who disagrees with illegal immigration, the whites vs the blacks, the black vs the asians, blacks vs the mexicans...It's sad.

I don't think racism is natural. We are all capable of rising above it. Every race is fine.
