Hi B K, I've seen that movie at least "20" times, it's one of my favorites! It was easy for him to prove the "corruption"...he lived in that prison for 15+ years, and saw everything the Warden and his CO's did. As far as his "Mr. Stevens" goes, everything was legit. He sent away for "his" ID, Social Security card, opened several bank accounts etc...because he was smart and read the books in the library. Plus, he was a bank manager on the outside. He just played the Warden like a "fiddle". All the while, the Warden thought Andy was making deposits into his bank, when actually he was depositing some/most (?) not sure how much/when he would do that, into "Mr. Stevens" accounts. As for the poster being re-attached, my guess would be that he had some sort of tape/putty that he put on each corner. XOXO Moonpie...P.S. It's just my opinion! And, I loved it when he told "Red"..."I was a honest man on the outside, I had to go to prison...to learn how to become a criminal".

Remember Andy was a banker and he did everyone's taxes and also worked on the Warden's financial accounting. That is where he had proof of what the Warden was doing by ripping off the government. As for the poster, all he had to do when he was in the hold was to put tape on sides and through the middle where it wasn't taped he could stick his hand out on the side and tape. He could have used toothpaste instead of tape and that would make it easier to stick to wall over the hold. No he used an assume name to collect the money the warden was laungering. That was an awesome movie. watch it everytime it comes on.

In that library scene with Red (when Red is eating the pie), Andy explains how he launders the warden's money and put's in to a phantom account. The money was from deals that the warden made with contractors, when, he knew that he could under bid them by using the prisoners for construction and road jobs. Andy even explains that he was able to get a birth certificate, social security number, and a driver's license all by mail in the phantom's name (back then this was possible). The ledger he sends to the newspaper held all the deposits and dirty money.
The poster was either held down by putty or something that would not be considered contraband.

1. He sent the log book of all the warden's income to the local paper. Remember he was hiding it in his baelt under his tucked in shirt. He was sending letters to the banks with deposits in Mr. Stevens name, from the illegal money made at the prison.
2. It was a putty that he could stick from the back of the poster. He only pulled open the bottom and climbed in through the bottom keeping the top in tact and when he got through the poster went back to sticking to the wall putty.
My favorite movie.

a great style of your answer will remember on your particular standards. working example, if the objective is to have an exciting intense capability adventure, shawshank won't do this. There are different issues to weigh of path, issues like historic perspective, particular favoritism to particular genres, like comedy or horror. That reported, almost rather everyone I even have ever spoken to has enjoyed the Shawshank in greater desirable than in basic terms a superficial way. i will effectively say there is no longer yet another movie i've got encountered that has that variety of conventional charm. As for me for my area, its the main suitable made movie i've got seen. the excuses why are glaring yet in addition diffused. It touches on many glaring subject concerns of action pictures(like redemption, wish, perseverance, friendship, existence, and so on), in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it does so in diffused tactics too. The protagonists have as plenty intensity with the aid of fact the villains do and the battles sense very very own. certainly, even the putting bears a great weight on the visitors as we are able to even sense Andy's oppression. All instructed, it became the main suitable movie i've got for my area ever seen.

It's been some time since I've seen this movie. I don't really remember how Andy got all of the money but he did. To re-stick a poster - use gum.

He sent the documents to the paper, but by the time they received them, he had already visited the dozen or so banks around town to collect the money, so at the time they weren't looking for him yet.
The second part was already answered correctly.
