Yes, dogs and cats have them. They are not like our belly buttons because human babies are cut and a stump of the cord left to make the "button". The mother chews the umbilicus off the puppies or kittens and so there is not an indentation like ours, but there is a round spot on their abdomen. If you shave the hair off you can see it if you know what you're looking for.

Anything born with an umbilical cord has a navel. The person who said animals don't have umbilical cords has probably never seen an animal except on TV.
Animals' belly buttons aren't necessarily shaped like ours; sometimes they are very difficult to detect (sometimes they are more like tiny bumps than what humans think of as a navel). I have helped to deliver babies of several mammalian species, and I have assisted in many surgeries. I've seen the umbilical cords and the navels they lead to first hand ;)

Of course they do. All mammals get nutrients from their mothers through an umbilical cord during their incubation. Your belly button is simply the "scar" left behind from where you umbilical cord attached. All other mammals have spot on their bellies where the cord attached. However, most dogs and cats are flush with their skin and are marked by a small "cowlick" in their fur.

Yes they have them, all mammals have them - anything that is not born through an egg has one. The navel is created from the umbilical cord falling of after birth, which how all mammals are fed when in gestation....everything from Whales to Kittens etc.

Dogs and cats have them too, as they are attached to the mother by an umbilical cord, just like humans.

All mammals have umbilicals, and actually animals that hatch from eggs do too. In mammals, the umbilical attaches the baby to its mom by the placenta, and in "eggies", the placenta attaches the baby to the amniotic sac inside the egg where the nutrients are.

All mammals have navels (belly buttons). It's what attaches them to the placenta while still in the womb.
