You know how they say people can tell when they're dreming and change their dream or wake themselves up? Well, I never know when I'm dreaming. I always think it's really happening. And as far as waking myself up, that only happens when it's a really bad dream and I start crying in it, which means I cry out loud in my sleep and that's what wakes me up. Also, how can you wake up from a dream and when you go back to sleep, resume right back to the same place in the same dream??

I can sometimes do that. If I'm dreaming and know I'm dreaming, I'll lower my inhibitions a bit and just let myself go because I know it's "not real". (i.e., if it's a "happy" dream and I want to go through with it because I know there won't be any consequences because it's "just a dream")
And I have woken up from a dream and wanted to go back to resume my dream. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. If I am not "fully awake" and I focus on the dream and where I was, I can resume it. If I wake up fully and try to go back to sleep to resume it, it doesn't usually work...

Interesting question...
