I'm just curious. Please explain your answers. I hope there's a Christian priest who can answer this. Thank you very much. I'll be waiting.

Being both Christian and gay is an oxymoron. Sure, homosexuality is just like any other sin. But unfortunately many liberal and gay Christians don't believe that this is true. Unless, the gay Christian has confessed his/her sin to God and it is merely a struggle for that person like any other sin (i.e. lust, money, pride, ect.), then I do not believe that person will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. That person must leave the homosexual lifestyle and denounce his/her homosexuality as a sin in order to do so.

Please understand that I am in no way being judgemental or critical. I am just communicating what I know the Bible says about sin. I too am a sinner. I struggle with several sins myself. But I call it for what it is and rely on God to get me through it.

The standard Christian belief is that if you accept Jesus as your Savior then you are accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven. I was raised in a Southern Baptist church and did just that at the age of ten years old. I am now in my 30's and am in a same sex relationship. I've battled with this issue for a long time now but the fact of the matter is this. I know where I come from and I know what I beleive. I know that I am a sinner and if if being with a woman is a sin then I am prepared to stand in Judgement before God and accept the consequences. I do not believe I am going to hell. We are all sinners in the eyes of God. ALL OF US!!! Even the "Christians" that come on here who speak in nothing but voices of judgement, bigotry, and hatefulness. They are sinners in the eyes of God, too. You should seek out an MCC Church. They are Christian based but are gay/lesbian accepting. I have read many things on their main home page and it's helped me alot!

why not? I am a minister's wife, so I hope I count. There is a lot of debate in the Christian world as to whether or not it is a sin to be gay, and to be perfectly honest, right now I ride the fence. (I say that to explain the 'sin" part of my question.) Let's say it is a sin. How is it worse than any other sin people commit? Jesus did not condemn homosexuality when He came to Earth. This leads me to believe that homosexuality was not very high on his list of "sins" to condemn. He DID condemn:
*Judging other people
*Getting re-married after divorce
*Hypocritical, self-righteous people who are quick to point out
other's faults while ignoring their own. (ie, the people who tell you that you are going to hell for being gay then go home and beat their wives and children)

So, how would a homosexual couple be any different than a heterosexual couple unmarried living together?

If it's not a sin, then you are definitely in the clear! :)

Spectre: Jesus wasn't married at all, so He did not even set a heterosexual example. Furthermore, the Bible does NOT say homosexuality is a demon. The man who was possessed, when the demon spoke to Jesus the demon said his name was Legion, for "we are many." Different types of sin are not listed. That sounds like something a preacher who has no idea how to handle the word of God preached in order to prove a point.

The bible says it's a sin to be gay. The bible also says it's a sin to steal, lie and commit adultry and murder people. I don't see anyone telling those who have done those things that they're going directly to hell.

I'm not a christian, nor do I agree with the religion but I believe the bible says that if you repent for your sins, you shall be forgiven. Does it not?

Another thing - the bible says it's a sin to be gay, not happy.

My own personal belief is that if two people love and cherish each other they are blessed whether they are gay or straight. Keep in mind when you ask this that the answers you receive will be determined by the dogma of the denomination the priest or minister or layperson belong to.

i do not believe in heaven nor hell but as much as people try to make homosexuality seem ok, bottom line is that it isnt, its condemned in the bible and God does not approve of that lifestyle, its not being homophobic or discriminating its just obvious facts, men were created to be with women, why is something so basic so distorted, humanity keeps lowering its moral standards to accommodate everyone's sins and eventually there will be non, the future were creating for our children is deplorable

Who am I to judge or anyone else for that matter. Read John, Matthew, Luke or Mark. Gods view is plainly clear. You might even look in the concordence in the back of your Bible under a key word.

of course they can, this whole gay hell theory is a bunch of bunk. based on leviticus, which is a list of mans laws from the time, NOT Gods commandments. if you go by that everyone would go to hell. it says eating shellfish and wearing 2 fabrics are abominations. Jesus came to save not to judge.

Look to the death of Jesus. There were two criminals next to him. Neither repented. One is in heaven, the other is not. The only thing that gets you into heaven is the grace of God.

Only God knows if your name is in the book of life. It is his decision alone. It is his whim.

Yes but only if they repent for their sinful homosexual acts, everyone can go to Heaven if they repent for all of their sins....but if they do not believe in God then this cannot be possible so in these cases no.
