Both.

I love people, and how their minds work genuinely interests me. Always has. Y!A is an interesting little peek into many, many minds! :-)) This might be the main reason that I keep coming back to Y!A.

I do like helping people. It really does make me feel good when I know or can look up something that people need, can't find, or can't figure out for themselves.

I am simply sitting around at home, waiting for my b/f to get back from his deployment in the Army. He has been gone for about two years now, and they just extended him for another WHOLE YEAR. I'm just passing the time away, waiting for him.

Neither for me. It's a great place for me to learn about new and interesting views about the world, humanity, emotions, ideologies, and I also use this forum to express myself about issues that I'm passionate about. I also like to indulge in a few philosophical, political and religious arguments through the Q&A. And I also love the humour that can be found in some of the Q&A. If ever I'm having a bad day, I just go into some of my favourite comedians' Q&A and have a good, heartfelt laugh.

It's a great meeting place for people from all walks of life, with different ideas, etc...It reminds me of university. We're all there to learn from one another, not just about academic stuff, but about life stuff as well, and it's interesting to observe the dynamics within this realm of virtual reality. For eg. The cliques, the trolls, the comedians, the philosophers, the "In" crowd, the religious fanatics, the artists, the folks who are always "high" on weed or some other drug, the misfits...I could go on and on about these subcultures.

I would like to help people if I can find a good question.
I like this site every day is different.
I have answered questions on topics from how to make JELLO shots to "Will I ever get over the death of my mother"
some questions are flippant but I still give as good an answer as I can.
When the asker picks mine as best it gives me a thrill.
When they pick one of their friends one liners over my thought out answer I vow to never answer that persons questions again.
Why waste my time on someone who doesn't give a damn.

I try to avoid the gamers coz they never pick the really best answer just some flippant sas
believe it or not there are some more mature people here and they, like me, want to give quality answers no matter what the question is.

It depends on the questions and the mood I'm in. Most of the time I try to be helpful. Sometimes its entertaining to goof on some of the silly questions. Sometimes it just gets boring. like right now. See ya
