Does anybody else miss REAL country music? And by that, I mean people like Conway, George Strait, Reba, Waylon Jennings, people like that. I am so tired of "artists" who think they can sing. Bring back the REAL country music!

Also, is it sad that I'm only 22, and asking this question?

It's like no one really cares about this anymore. It's like everyone is ok not being identified as "country", because what's being done today is not country by no means...it's some kind of pop music with a twang!! The clothes, the hair, the singers, the songs and so on. Even in the 70's, 80's and 90's artist never went this far to change up their sound....they still had the country roots. It's horrible what's happening today!!
You know I was hoping someone in Branson would start a label and have some stations that are devoted to real country music. I think it can be done.....I would love to take a shot at it!!!!

"They were country when country wasn't cool" as the saying goes.

While I do enjoy contemporary "country" music, the genre goes way back. I suspect the country music lovers of today would change the station pretty quick if some real country showed up on the air waves.
