An archivist working in the palentological field. Museum or library based, will be in charge of cataloguing and classifying records, data and finds brought in from field researchers.

I was tempted to answer " An old paleontologist"! But of course it is not. It is a person who works in the archives of a place where old bones are kept, usually a university or museum or similar. Their job is to `file away` all the bones and keep accurate records on all the exhibits or contents of the paleontology department.
