Detergent to wash clothes?

I don't think so. The exception might be detergents with enzymes. The enzymes might break down, but under normal circumstances the detergent component should be okay.

I've used some detergent that is over five years old. I got a bunch of sample packets of liquid detergent serveral years ago (20 for $1 !) I take them with me when I travel. They work fine.
