Sedona is beautiful in all seasons! But in the fall and spring there are more art shows, etc to go to. And the Jeep tours are always fun. The summers do get hot if you aren't from here. Have a fun visit!

I guess it depends on if you are from a colder/hotter environment, meaning which weather can you tolerate more. I wouldn't suggest going during the summer. It is considered the off season for resorts and you can get better rates, but that's when tourists visit the most. So you are looking at a pretty busy, crowded time. I would go in February. It gets in the low 30°s at night but during the day it's pretty tolerable with a light jacket, perfect hiking weather.
Also, if you are going to visit Sedona, you have to visit Jerome. It's not too far away from Sedona and it's a pretty small, interesting town. I put a link below for more information.
Hope this helps! Just remember, Sedona is BEAUTIFUL during any day of the year.

i live in phoenix, and i never found sedona to be that hot in the summertime, and ive been there many times. I personally would go in early summer like early June because it is still pretty but the water is warmer at Slide Rock( a neat place where you go and swim and there are slippery areas where you can slide, it is so fun, and anybody who goes to sedona has to go there). however, i dont know where you are from so Sedona could seem hot to you. and if you dont want to swim, Fall is very pretty. Sedona is just lovely all year round so just research the temperatures during the times of year and pick a period where you think you would feel most comfortable with the temp.

Spring and fall are the best. The light is better for pictures that time of the year, and temperatures are milder. Sedona gets over 100 degrees in the summer frequently.

August-September, i went last year and it was beautiful!!! But if you go down there you HAVE TO stop by the grand canyon. Those two places are the most beautiful places in USA.

I'd say spring or fall. Depending on what you want to do/see.
You may see snow in the winter-- pretty cool on the red rocks.
Its rather warm/hot in the summer.
cool hiking in the area etc.

fall, the leaves are turning colors, the weather is seasonable(warm days, chilly nights), but all seasons are beautiful there.
