Many young women have very irregular periods for the first few years after the onset of menstruation. Your case may be a bit extreme; you may want to talk with your doctor (I suggest an ob/gyn) about the long stretches of time without having a period. He/she may decide to put you on a regimen of hormone therapy to smooth out the "bumps" in your pattern, and allow your body to mature in a steadier fashion.

No, theres nothing wrong with you. Most young girls have irregular periods. Im 28 and mine didn't get 'regular' till about 2 or 3 yrs ago. To be on the safe side you should have your mom take you to an obgyn but I think your fine.

Your parents should take you to a gnocologist. It is probably not anything serious. The Doctor could put you on Birth Control pills just to regulate your period. Women go thru many changes in there life and when there is a problem you should go to an expert. Good Luck

At your age my period was very similar. I went 6 months with out a period more than once. As you get older it will probably even out. If it bothers you. You can take Birth control pills to regulate your period.

you may have a high level of prolactin hormone, u must see ur dr. yes there is something wrong with u, delayed peroid causes many problems one of them is depression which is really bad, don't be late and make blood analysis for prolactin, estrogen and progestron hormones level, if u find any of them high level then u must make a test on ur pitutary gland, don't be late this really seems not good for u especially u r still young

My advice would be to see a gynecologist. all women should especially after they start and are irregular. Your hormones may be out of balance.

Are you very athletic or thin? Women who exercise a lot often have missed or short periods.
