How an employee understand the objectives of the organisation? how could this person contribute to thosse objectives?

Well figuratively speaking it could mean a lot of things depending on the context on which it was said. In most cases it would mean that you have a clear view and understanding of what the company's' long term objectives are, and that you realize what you must do in your position to help the company reach those goals.
