Someone would usually say 3/4 time. The top number tells
how many beats to a measure, the lower number tells you that a quarter note gets one beat.
3/4 time would be waltz time. In this waltz, each quarter note gets one beat, and there are 3 beats per measure.
ONE two three ONE two three ONE two three ONE two three.

By the way, 4/4 time (which is very common and is sometimes written with a C for common time) is 4 beats per measure, with a quarter note getting one beat.
Hope this helps.

HELLO--- When you look at a sheet of music, it is broken up into little boxes. Get a piece of sheet music to see this.
Each little box is called a measure. Each one of those boxes or
"measures" had the same number of beats in it.
For example, do you know the Beatles song Norwegian Wood?
It is in 3/4 time. Its rhythm is ONE two three ONE two three..
I will write the words and break the song into measures with slashes.
I two three/ once had a /girl two three/ or should I/say two three/
she once had/ me two three. Each division is a measure, and notice-there are three beats in each division.
Hope this is better.
Cheers.
The dynamics of a piece of music are the changes in volume.
The dynamics are usually expressed in Italian words, piano or pianissimo for soft, and forte for loud. A crecendo is a part of the music which goes from soft then gradually gets louder.

I'm a music major and never heard anyone say "three time." There's 3/4 time which means the quarter note gets the beat and there are 3 beats per measure. There are...triplets which means that 3 notes will evenly fill the time of one beat. But yeah...never heard of three time. :)

It's like 4/4 time...which is 4 beats to a measure...meaning a quarter note would get the name of "one beat" in 3/4 time...or "three time" it's three beats to a measure...much like a waltz.

Dynamics is simply when music is played at different levels of volume. There are quiet passages and strong passages.
