Before I consider it, I'm curious about what selection of jobs are in a temp agency. I know of Manpower, but the most I have seen are of labor type jobs. What other genres, I guess would be a good word, do they have to choose from with temp agencies?

Heck yeah there are awesome temp jobs out there. Go to an agency, like ABE or Nelson, and they will set you up.

You go in with your resume for an initial talk with them. From there they will help you figure out what jobs are the best fit for you and help place you in a job that not only builds your resume and potentially land you a full time job.

If you go with Nelso they also offer emergency health care for 8-15 a week. This is reallly important because most temp positions dont have this. Also, you will have an account manager who will help you get to where you want to be. Mine was incredibly helpful, and I got picked up by a company with in 24 hours of my initial interview with the agency and the company. I still ahve that job today, and it has turned out to be a terrific career path.

There are many temp agencies today and they offer jobs in almost every industry. You need to check them out and find which one can serve you best. The good thing about these jobs, quite often is that you get a variety of work. In other words, you may work in a different position, office, or business every day. In many cases, if you perform at a particularly high level, that company might offer you a permanent job. The down side is that you are a"temp" and often not treated as well as you'd like. Also, you are not paid what the others around you are getting. The agency does after all, have to make their cut. But if you can live with this way of working, it might not be a bad deal. I will close by saying this style of working may or may not be for everybody, but they do offer you an opportunity to work and possibly decide on a profession that will suit you. Good luck!

activity companies are generally a waste of time, i does no longer call them a scam because of the fact they do % to get you a job this is how they make money, the corporate is mostlikely paying them 3 extra money and hour on your artwork, this is the reason your verify comes from the corporate and not the corporate they get you into. have been you would be making 9 money and hour, the corporate is relatively paying the corporate 12 and that they provide you the 9. frequently with a placement company a lot of them close down via those that they get jobs for decrease than stay for some days and are available to a sort they do no longer basically like the activity (relatively for the reason this is production unit artwork different than at incredibly low pay) and that they only finally end up leaving halfway by the shift, so the corporate is in basic terms getting paidthe available 20 hours (x3) which you put in. greater companies stay around are because of the fact they generally have alot extra postings for clerical artwork (which isn't as undesirable as production unit) so as that they finally end up getting workers for the businesses that stay until they're the two employed on by skill of the corporation (after ninety days). So are they a scam no, is what they're paying you for some jobs bullshit... Yea this is...

In the biotech industry we will hire temps. We like to do this because it gives us a chance to see if we like a person. It is way easy to get rid of a temp that isn't working out than to get rid of a ft employee. If you are a good worker and the opportunity exists for a perm position it can be good.

Have you thought about working at home over the Internet? Do you have an Internet connection and some basic typing skills?

There are many companies that need people from home to do things such as write for discussion boards, write articles for websites, manage Google Adwords campaigns, etc.

Do a Google search for some of these. Or go to a site such as http://www.data-entry-jobs.net , where they have free access to all these types of jobs.

Good luck in your hunt.

The pros are: - If you don't like it you can ask to be reassigned
- you can work only when you want to
- it is honest work
-could lead to a permanent job

The cons are: - you don't always have a steady income

-work can end without any notice
-some clients treat you like feces
-they never stop reminding you that you canbe replaced
