Or should I use two seperate photographers? Reason why I ask is because I have gotten fashion shots were I specifically asked the photographer to please give me headshots as well but they came out horrible. So I wanted to get the opinion of others

I have used one photographer for both and they all turned out OK. In have never heard anything about needing two. Maybe it was just the photographer you used. Did you ask to look at their portfolio before you hired them? That might help give you an idea of what kind of photos they take and if they can do both equally as well.

There's nothing essentially wrong with using the same photographer for both headshots and "glamor" photos...just as long as they understand the difference.

Usually, good portait/headshot photographers specialize in that particular kind of shoot: they know how to light, dress, and pose their subjects in order to achieve flattering shots that LOOK LIKE THE SUBJECT. It sounds obvious, but you'd be amazed at how many would-be actors are running around out there with photos that look nothing like them. I've sat behind many an audition table, and done a double-take when people walk into the room, looking back and forth between the photo and the actual person.

Apparently, you've worked with a photographer whose work you liked in the fashion realm, but who wasn't equally proficient as a headshot photographer. No worries; find someone else. If your headshot isn't something you're happy/proud to send out, it's not for you.
