Yes it does My 3 baby is 5 months and i am noticing it coming out alot more right now. While you are pregnant your body does not release the hormone that cuases you to lose hair but now that your hormones are going back to normal your hair is coming out

I just had my baby a little over 3 months ago and I'm starting to experience this too. I haven't had globs of it coming out yet, but my friends have warned me about it. So far, I'm just getting lots of hair coming out when I shower and when I'm brushing and blow drying my hair. I can't believe all the hair on the bathroom counter top and the floor when I get done drying and brushing my hair. Also, when I go to put styling products into my hair when it's wet I end up with lots of hair all over my hand. Kind of grosses me out! Completely normal though.

Absolutely. Every woman sheds her excess hair at some point postpartum; most start to shed when the baby is around four months of age.

It's coming out in globs because you didn't shed any hair while you were pregnant. Your body was holding on to every cell it had - including hair cells! - to make sure the baby got everything it needed. Now that you're not pregnant your body doesn't need all those extra cells, so bye-bye extra hair!

It will be at least a month before the shedding stops. When it's done, no one will be able to tell you lost any hair - least of all you!

It is very common within 4-6 months after having a baby to start loosing a lot of your hair that was so thick during pregnancy. It's your body's way of getting rid of everything it held onto in excess when you were pregnant. If you have been sweating a lot as well, that is your body's way of getting rid of the water weight. I promise that it is normal. Congrats on the new addition!

It is totally a post-pregnacy thing. At about 4-5 months past baby I thought I was going to go bald! It (the shedding) went away in a few weeks, though. It was nasty, but all is well now. And I can tell more hair is growing.

Usually this happens during your last trimester. But in some cases it could carry over awhile after delivery. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Although I would still be taking my prenatal vitamins if you have any left. If not get some more through your doctor or at you local pharmacy. Could be your low on some vitamins, and maybe a little stressed out.
Wait a few more months and if it's still real bad ask your doc about it.
Goodaytoyou..! !

Don't worry, it is normal! You can lose hair for months after having a baby. From what I have read, your body maintains hair while pregnant (why women always seem to have great hair during pregnancy!), and loses the hair you should have lost during that time after you have the baby and your hormone levels start to drop. Hair loss will slow down shortly!

DEAR, IT'S 50-100 HAIRS A DAY, NOT 1000!!! U HAVE 150 000 HAIRS ON UR HEAD. 4 MONTHS AFTER GIVING BIRTH, MY HAIR WAS SOOOO BAD, I LOST ALL MY HAIR AROUND MY FACE, I WAS GOING BALD, LIKE A MAN!!!! IT STOPS BY ITSELF AND THE HAIR GROWS BACK, BUT IT'S NOT A BAD IDEA TO HELP IT!!! MASSAGE UR SCALP WITH ALMOND OIL( WHICH IS THE STRONGEST NATURAL STIMULANT FOR GROWING OF NEW HAIR) AND GET SOME SPECIAL HAIR VITAMINS TOO. THAT SAVED ME FROM BEING TOTALLY BALD NOW.
