You see, being able to crack a game or a software, just enables you to use it without having to register it before you use it. You may have by-passed this process or you might have successfully applied the crack you have but that does not mean you won't need the CD in your CD ROM drive. The game installation may have only copied necessary files to your local hard drive (i.e game shortcut, users and score table, etc) but the game details still needs to be read from the CD.

There are a lot of games that has this set-up. The reason being, to save H/D space. So unless you were able to set-up with an option to copy all to H/D, you need to use the CD.

What game?

When you say you 'cracked it' are you trying to say you have overcome the copy-prevention measures (including the need to insert the disc)? If that is what you are saying then you might need to rephrase to something more like "I attempted to crack the game but seem to have failed to do so."

The crack didn't work...try a different one. Or, you could make an image of the CD and mount it to a virtual drive...use Daemon Tools if you do that.

Maybe you can try to check your BIOS setting. Before it start running the window you press F1 or F12 (depending on your PC) --> Check the order of the startup. It should be HDD as primary.

Worst come to worst reformat your harddisk. As they said, your cracked doesn't work.

GOD bless
