I would always suggest wearing something professional. For this position I would not wear a dress or skirt or a suit and tie (depending on your gender), perhaps a nice pair of slacks and blouse or button up shirt, and a pair of dress shoes. In my current positon I am not responsible for hiring but I was in my previous position, and I would never hire anyone who came to an interview in jeans, flip flops or sneakers. Even though this position is not one where you will be required to wear business attire your new prospective supervisors will look at the way you dress, speak and look. I always felt if someone took pride in their appearance they would take pride in their job. Hope this helps!

Dress like you would for any job interview. Just because you are interviewing for a cashier position, this is still a job and you should show both the interviewer and the company itself the proper respect.

Good luck!
