Best to do heel raises, stand flat footed and raise yourself up to the balls of your feet. Do this repeatedly to strengthen the calf muscles which will in turn increase your vertical leap ability.

On a set of less-traveled stairs, stand on the edge and do toe raises (or whatever you want to call them). Make sure you're well-balanced when you do this. Also, wearing a weight vest will build your leg muscles and enhance your leaping ability.
