In order to get a precise and good answer you need to specify what type of swing are you interested in. There is East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop and many more. Which one?

Nothing corny about, Chanel. It's a really fun dance. Typically, you dance it to traditional rock n roll. So I would look for classic rock--here are some real oldies that have that ECS drive, although some of them may be more Jive (a bit faster). Billy Joel: "Only the Good Die Young" "You May Be Right" Elton John: "Crocodile Rock" Beatles: "Twist and Shout" Simon and Garfunkel: "Baby Driver" Jim Croce: "Bad Leroy Brown" Three Dog Night: "Joy to the World" Beach Boys: Practically anything Note that a lot of current pop and rock is more appropriate to WCS than to ECS; other pop stuff, like Gwen Stefani, owes a lot to Latin pulses (and you see that more and more in rap music too, particularly the Samba pulse). Hope that helps!

Girls steps: (on a one-two-one-two count) step right, step left, rock step (stepping back on right foot, remember to put all weight on foot)

Guys steps: (same count) step left, step right, rock step (step back on left foot)

If you meant the five basic TYPES of swing dancing, as far as I know it's East Coast, West Coast, Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, and Jive

there's only three.

1. step with your right foot
2. step with your left foot
3. step back with your right foot, ball change.

you're probably better off trying to download a video snapshot, because the rhythm is the most important part. But this is the real basic.
