I think you want to know why people who hug trees are looked down on. It goes back to the 1960's when activism met environmentalism, and the logging industry was raping the northwest. The activists drove spikes into the trees to ruin the loggers equipment. People who believe the land is theirs to ruin began making fun of "tree huggers" as being so in love with nature they hug trees. I wasn't an activist back then, but I love Greenpeace now.

the question isn't "what is wrong with hugging a tree".. the real question is what is the true meaning behind the actions of zelots with agendas.
the mere action of hugging a tree is theatrics. But the actions when combined with underlying goals of unseen groups creates insurgencies that can only be imagined on most levels.

Nothing I suppose. As long as a dog hasn't been there for a potty break. By they way, aren't there any people you could hug. They're easier. It's just a thought.

Most people don't feel free enough to display that kind of emotion in public >>> if you really want to hug inanimate objects that's totally up the individual
