On Monday, Kerry told a group of California students that people unable to succeed in the U.S. educational system would likely "get stuck in Iraq" -- a line Kerry said was a botched joke.

I found an altered version on a democratic website showing what he 'meant' to say-- har-har. I believe that as much as I would believe if Mel Gibson had said he was talking about O.J. Simpson--- the JUICE is responsible for all the wars in the world. LOL
Have you seen the soldier's reply to Kerry's comments? Here's a link to the original source-- radio host Charlie Sykes of WTMJ in Milwaukee, Wi got this picture from a listener and put it on the website. Charlie said he never dreamed it would get international attention but it's sooooo good! It hit the front page of some news papers too! (I think he said the New York Post was one).
Here's Kerry's comment and I quote-- “I can’t overstress the importance of a great education. Do you know where you end up if you don’t study, if you aren’t smart, if you’re intellectually lazy? You end up in Iraq.”
And here's the soldier's reply---

Go to youtube;Drudge ; or Rushlimbaugh.com
Kerry showed his usual contempt for the U.S. Military AGAIN on Monday when he told a group in Pasadena that if you don't study & "get smart" you'll "get stuck in Iraq" . Tuesday , when Americans were outraged , he tried to change the entire story by saying it was a "joke " on President Bush-who he did not mention on Monday ; and , which would be ludicrous in light of the fact that G.W. Bush got better grades at Yale than Kerry did -PLUS Bush has an MBA from Harvard as well . Kerry held a press conference Tuesday , loudly procliming "I will not apologize". Wednesday , he issued a paper damage-control "apology" , that did not accept blame for what he said-nor did he say he shouldn't have said our troops were stupid . Kerry said he was "sorry if it was misinterpretted". ALSO-in 1972 John Kerry said he was opposed to an all volunteer army because it would be made of the UNDERPRIVILIGED , BLACK & BROWN..and THEY WOULD COMMIT WAR CRIMES ".

Roughly, "You can get educated, or you can get sent to Iraq." Because of the implications about the troops in Iraq, this raised a considerable stink, and Kerry has since apologized for saying it.

"you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well.

"And if you don't, you get stuck in Iraq," he said.

I had to look around too, couldn't find it on yahoo news.
