do NOT take drugs. If you must take something though try Valerium Root, you may find it at a health food store (wild oats, whole foods, etc.). What I do is get a little bit of water, look in the mirror and tell myself that I am going to sleep... I then get into bed and close my mouth and try heavy breathing (through the nose)....slow and easy and very deep breaths over and over. then, at the same time I think about what I'd do if I was president of the whole world or if I won the lottery.....what it does is start making you think what you would do with all that power or money and one thing leads to another. always works for me. be well.

I have a TV in my room. If I turn it on and try to watch it, I just can't keep my eyes open for long and I'm back out like a light. Just remember to lay down and get into a sleeping position to watch the TV. If you are sitting up, it won't work. Some people read, but then you have to turn on a light and that never worked for me.
