We didn't wait until 6 weeks. We haven't had unprotected sex. We use condoms but I wasn't having unprotected sex the first time around either. Thanks for your answers some have been very helpful

It is possible, but not probable IF -and only if - you have been breastfeeding exclusively.
If you have not been breastfeeding, you could be pregnant.
If you have been breastfeeding, it is very common to go for quite a bit without a period. I went for three months with no sign of one, while I was breasfeeding, and wondered the same thing about being pregnant or not because I couldn't be on the Pill, and the doctors wanted to wait until my first period for my IUD, and me and hubby were bad lol.
Hope it turns out how you want it!

Well hopefully you waited the 6 week period before having sex? If not-then yes, you could be pregnant again as you can be very fertile right after having a baby. Get a test. If negative, then maybe your period is just messed up from just having a baby. Your avatar is a boy by the way. :-)

Having a period that lasts for 8 days is pretty normal. If it lasts longer than 14 days call your doctor.

It's possibly you may be pregnant. However, both of my sisters, with their pregnancies, didn't start a new cycle for almost 2 months, but when they did... oh boy did they! If this is your first baby, it might take some time for your cycle to start back, especially if you're breast-feeding. When it does, don't be alarmed if its stronger than any period you've had. If it does concern you, tell your doctor. Best of luck and congrats on your bundle of joy!

Yeah, what's the guy avatar? You could be, you should have had a period by now. You took the chance? If you're not, you know what to do, the doctor's office is open every weekday, get to it! Good Luck.

If you're nursing, it's very possible that you haven't had a period yet. It's also possible to get pregnant, too. Take the test and take it easy!
