Is the speed the companies qoute measured in bits or bytes?

How can I tell the difference? aren't both written as "mb"?

they are measured in Mb or MB because is little for a whole company to have b or B.!!!

the companies measures speed in bits
usually MB means megabytes
and Mb means megabits
the diference is in the b(bits) and B(bytes)

They screw it up anyway.
MB=Megabyte
Mb=Megabit

The speeds they advertise are in bits, not bytes.
So, 5 Megabits is about 625 Kilobytes
Just take whatever the bits are and divide by 8 because there are 8 bits in a byte.

It really depends on which people you use, if u can i would use cable.
