I have norton at home and we run Sophos at work. Both are excellent programs. Sophos eats alot of ram though. Make sure what ever you put it on, external or internal installation that the computer has at least 512mb although a gig would be better.

Sophos is a anti-virus application. So it has something to do with vehicle replace. in case you do no longer use Sophos and on no account have had it on your pc. properly i can not say the way it have been given there. while you're using some unusual anti virus application like one out of your ISP they might use the sophos anti-virus engine.

if u r interested in purchasing an AV s/w i would recomond u AVG.
u can try it for free also ..
its not that bulky, dont occupy much memory, takes no time to load (at startup), dont have heavy animated alert popups and graphics like in Norton, Mcfee, sophos and many others (which makes the PC slow).
Have a good Virus Database and update service is also good. scanning is good enough

A happy and satisfied AVGFree user ..

I always recommend against Norton, but have never tried Sophos. Try using AVG, it's free and works excellent!

between norton and sophos (thats what you ask) i firmly believe sophos is better..... coz its more reliable than norton and norton have become a bloated software already too bloated and yes a bloatware full of crap. maybe sophos too.. but not as worse as norton

well thats my advice and your choice is yours

The best Anti- Virus would be Avast Anti-Virus for both Home and Office purposes.
Home edition is free but with complete online support.

AVAST anti-virus is my favouraite after trying for more than 20 different types of anti-viruses.
