Oddly, I think their name might be part of it. I can't imagine mainstream radio programmers wanting that name said on the air.

Anyway, I like what little I've heard. (ie: "Letter From an Occupant")

They're catchy.

Because the mainstream cannot handle good music. Look at Ed Harcourt.
