REsponse to this question was that it was stupid and would never happen. The US Government and texas actually thought that it would be cheaper since we pay for transportation back to the border anyway. Yet, two years ago, Texas and the US Government considered what would be similar to a "de-militarized zone" from Uvalde down to Laredo. One of the hispanic legislaters who has left the once fine state of texas since then said "we should go ahead and give it back since from Uvalde down already looks like the slums in Nuevo Laredo anyway"...

I do not consider your thought as being stupid, but, remember 40% or more of the oil products used in the USA is in Texas i for one do not think that any well thinking gov or person would consider that as an option, and there are so many other reasons for not going that rout.i don't think you will ever see that happening.

Texas in mind is a part of the United States i don't see that changing, if it does,it would be considered as on of the greatest wonders of human history.

WHAT??? Texas is it's own country. Maybe take it out of the USA, but no way should it go back to Mexico. It is a very prosperous state.
