A generic interpretation is an improvement in the traditional way of model interpretation. Instead of making a model, a policy statement with the same characteristics is made and as a result, you have a table of performances and you can very well find out where is difference is ....and understand why it is.

Generic means Common. So common interpretation.

It can also mean general interpretation.
