well,ive got a similar thing,im going to visit my girl friend,for a day or two,what do 1 expect:
1.pick up from the airport,bring the kids
2. a visit to our new house
3.have a nice family meal
4.go to bed early,get up late.hope my girlfriend doesnt have a sister who smokes.

If you're panicking over a 24hr stay - then you obviously don't know him that well ... otherwise you'd know what to do ..... therefore my advice would be not to 'do' anything .... spend some nice time together - expect him to treat you right - and let him sleep in his own bed - ALONE! ..... when you get to know him better then you can discuss and agree what you can do .....TOGETHER ...!

-put some candles around, that will make it look personal
-plan what you cook for him, and dont forget the dessert, better cook smth u tried before not to screw up
-put a chocolate bar on his pillow, tell him he is welcome here
-make the apartment smell nice, aroma candles or oil burner, just dont overdo
-plan detailed what and when you do so that he is not bored
-dont forget to clean ur bathroom
